A clone of the Colonization game, which is practically identical to the original.

FreeCol is a clone of the Colonization game, which is practically identical to the original. Is there anyone left who still doesn`t know this classic strategy game? it is a classic turn-taking strategy game, whose objective is to conquer the New World, during the period in history of between 1492 and 1850.

You can play with four different countries and their armies: Spain, England, France and Holland, each one with their own characteristics, advantages and disadvantages. You have to start from zero, build an army and a nation as powerful as possible to be able to beat the king and complete the colonization.

The differences between FreeCol and Colonization are basically in the game perspective (isometric 3D against above/behind 2D), and in the quality of the graphics, which is better than the original. You can also play on-line.
